Who Are We?

Save The World Firdays (STWF) is a club that started this year at San Diego High School Of International Studies who is conscience of the mass amounts of CO2 in the air, destroying earth. We want to do something about it.

What Do We Do?

Every Friday many members of our club use a different mean of transportation, other than a car, like take the trolley, bike, walk, or take a bus. All of these things cut back on your CO2 emissions.

Did You Know...

...That every gallon of gas you use, 20 pounds of CO2 are released into the atmosphere.

...on an average weekend, the average miles driven  in San Diego alone is 38.4 million miles. That is only in ONE DAY.

What Are Some Solutions?

-Conservation

-Stop burning fossil fuels to generate electricity

-Plant A Tree

-Reduce the amount of incoming solar radiation

-Gain Weight (Human fat is 76% carbon: If all 6.5 billion humans gained a kilogram of fat it would lower emissions)

-Add snow to the east Antarctic ice sheet

-Seed the oceans with iron

 How Can You Help?

Join us on every friday and cut down on your CO2 emissions. As a new club we also want to make promotional handouts for the future. Please donate by clicking the button below to help buy items such as stickers, wristbands, hats, shirts, etc. We will make sure before purchasing that the companies that make the items are making them in an environmentally friendly way.
